Title: Tarnished Crown by Erin Watt
Two years ago, one mistake cost Gideon Royal the girl of his dreams. Since then he’s become jaded and stoic, caught in a spiral that has him dealing with blackmail, heartache and loss. When he left for college, he hoped to start over. But fate has other ideas, placing Savannah Montgomery in his path again.
Savannah believes there’s no coming back from Gideon’s betrayal.
He thinks she’s wrong.
Forgiveness. Hope. Redemption. Gideon has vowed to win back the only girl who owns his heart. And when a Royal makes a promise, he’ll go to the ends of the earth to keep it.
Where do I started this book it gave me mixed feelings. It started out going back and forth between the past and the present and between Savannah and Gideon. It was just a bit confusing but then the further I read it stayed more in the present. It was really nice to see what Gideon was dealing with right before his mother passed away and that he really cared for Savannah. It was also nice to see where Savannah was coming from and why she was acting the way she was toward Gideon. Just finally seeing more of their story and what they went through was great since the other books in the series show pretty much his younger brothers and their problems and relationships. All in all this was a really good book. I am going to give it a four out of five stars only because I found the beginning slow and confusing with going back and forth between past, present, Savannah and Gideon.
