Title: A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
Review: Where has this book been all my life! I have heard a lot about Sarah J. Maas and her books and was nervous to read her books because sometime books don’t live up the hype that is around them. This book definitely lives up to the hype. I loved the characters and how they develop over the story and really hope it continues throughout the series. I really enjoyed reading in Feyre’s point of view and how she is able to handle herself as well as take care of the people she loves. She is able to stand up for herself even if it isn’t the smartest thing to do. Then moving on to reading about Tamlin and learning about him piece by piece as he starts opening up instead of being all mysterious. This whole book had me laughing, crying and everything in between. It has been a while since I have read a book that has had me doing that. I give this book a HUGE five out of five stars and would highly recommend it to anyone.
